The TAVISTOCK “tradition” is an interdisciplinary set of conceptual intuitions and a research, analysis and field-work “paradigm” about organisations and social behaviour of groups and institutions. With its early roots in psychoanalysis, group dynamics and open systems theories, although holding the idea of organisational rationality as a myth, nevertheless pursues its enhancement.
First of all, by studying and individuating with experiential means the psychological and emotional, mostly unconscious factors, influencing individual and group decisions, behaviours and performances.
Moreover, by highly involving ground activities, aiming with a situational approach to start corrective actions and to adopt solutions aiming to improve the quality of main organisational and business management processes.
